Bikers will do a short race thru some avenues in Torreón City, to commemorate the city’s centennial. This ride goes thru Muzquiz avenue, then turn to Boulevard Revolución turning in Colon street. From there bikers should take Independencia Boulevard and then Ramos Arizpe Street. Official time will start to run when bikers cross the bridge from Torreón to Gomez Palacio city.

Bikers Hill cross Gomez Palacio thru Miguel Alemán Boulevard, entering Lerdo City thru it, then crossing The Guadiana Park, the Main Plaza up to the velodrome. At this point, tha paved road ride is 9.9 miles.

Dirt Road from Velodrome - Monterreicillo Town
From the Velodrome, we ride thru agricultural dirt roads on the north side of the Nazas River, conformed by compacted land with some losen dirt. There is a light ascent up the river, but on this part of the race, bikers can take good speed. Thru this road participants will arrive to Monterreicillo town, where the single track begins. Total dirt road ride is 8.3 miles.

Monterreicillo to “Punta Morris”
From this point. Bikers should take "El Óvulo", then the “Subida de las SS”,coming down by the “Bajada Quiebrahuesos” and then following to “Punta Morris”, where you’ll cross “La Pila”. This part of singletrack is composed by waved land with several slopes and changes in direction.

Los Columpios
At “Los Columpios”, bikers are able to ride in good speed. The name means “The Swings”, because there are constant ups and downs. Bikers should be careful of cardenche’s plant, or getting a flat tire with surrounding rocks.

La Lusiña
La Luisiña has two ascents. First one has an altitude of 88.5 vertical feet. Then a high difficulty slope comes to go up again. The second ascent is short but with an angle that is worth to be aware of. Only the most skilled bikers will be able to climb it on the bike. At the top, a beautiful view of the Villa Juárez Valley can be seen. The next descent is kind of hard due to surrounding rocks.

Descent “La Luisiña to Gran Slam”
Once you went down La Luisiña, a very fun ride starts with some technical requirements. Lots of ups and downs with turns and continuous descents. Then pass a small hill called the “Sin Aliento” and continue to get to the “Gran Slam” base.

Gran Slam
The “Gran Slam” is the first hard obstacle in the race. It’s an ascent with a 180° turn and a 200 feet vertical gain in a total distance of 8.7 miles. Only the most dared bikers will climb it with a 2 star, the rest of the participants will try to do it with the 1x1. This ascent is a monument where The Walker shows his talent to design singletrack.

Gran Slam - Los Olvidados
Once the top is reached, a very fun descent starts. Here, more experienced bikers can release the adrenalin. Others should take it easy as they come down, since is a very long descent with a total of 298 vertical feet in a 2.4 miles section until the “Bordo de los olvidados” is reached. From here a waved section of land is taken which leads to the second obstacle of the day.

Gran Slam II
Gran Slam ascent is short, with a good slope in the ending. It has to be taken slowly and make a great effort to climb it on the bike all the time. At the top, a beautiful view of the Nazareno town can be seen. From here, there is a short descent and then a flat singletrack with some ups and downs of low slope, several changes in direction and thorny vegetation around. It is important not to leave the singletrack to avoid punctures in the tires. The route passes by the “Cerros Pelones” and the continues to the “Papalote”.

Dirt Road “El Papalote to Las Lajas”
This section goes thru agricultural roads no longer in use. Here, bikers can catch their breath since most of the ride is on flat land and very easy. It is 2.2 miles until a point named “Las Lajas” is reached. From there, participants will start to ascend the “Puerto del Suspiro”.

Puerto el Suspiro
“Puerto el Suspiro” the highest point in the marathon. It is 4,915 feet above sea level. Ascent on this side is less hard since it has a lower slope. The vertical gain is 482 feet in a 6 yards distance. The view during the ascent is amazing, you will see on one side the Sierra de España valley, the highest in the region. Once you reach that point… you practically did it!! From here is just going down all the way to the finish line.

Descent thru the “Puerto el Suspiro”
This one is not very dangerous but has a good slope, The most experienced bikers might go down with good speed and rookies must come down more slowly.

Las Abejas
After the descent, a very fun singletrack comes next, named “Las Abejas”. This one goes up and down around the hill’s skirt, crossing the main stream several times. The landscaping is beautiful since a small valley is formed between the two mountain ranges. Thru this singletrack, bikers will cross a road where the high tension line is, which belongs to the Federal Electricity Company. This road leads to Monterreicillo town.

Monterreicillo to Torreón City
After crossing the Monterreicillo town, bikers should take agricultural road to Villa Juárez town, and then continue thru dirt road until the velodrome. The last section of dirt road is a narrow singletrack running thru a side of the Nazas River. The route now turns thru the Sacramento Canal paved road until Miguel Alemán boulevard is reached. Here, bikers should turn right and continue until the finish line located at Fundadores Park.
