The marathon is organized by two non profit associations: “Destination Laguna SA de CV”, and “Promotora de Ecoturismo Laguna AC”:

BA group of bikers from La Laguna Region decided to gather in an association called “Promotora de Ecoturismo Laguna”, with the goal to obtain resources to continue the development of new tracks in the Villa Juarez Valley and to assure free access to all bikers, and their main goal is to turn Villa Juarez Valley into a protected area destined for ecotourism activities and mountain bike practice.

The association defined the following goals:
To promote and develop ecotourism in La Laguna, having an adequate administration of all the areas destined for ecotourism. To keep free access in the areas destined for ecotourism in La Laguna. To organize different events and obtain economic funds to achieve the association goals and activities. To support the economic development of communities in the area, specially those related to the ecotourism activity. To promote and motivate the member’s training, as well as persons or companies who provide services related to the ecotourism activity. To develop projects intended to promote, maintain or invest in the improvement of the areas destined to ecotourism and its accesses. To promote and motivate respect for nature. To establish alliances with other associations related to ecotourism activities. To promote and achieve activities to benefit the areas destined to ecotourism activities. To obtain the support and collaboration of the federal, state and municipal government to reach their goals.
The Promotora de Turismo works very closely with Destination Laguna, a company dedicated to promote La Laguna Region as a tourist destination in Mexico, Canada and USA.
